July Monthly Refresher – Professionalism + Monthly Challenge
Taking a bus trip is an experience. Whether you’re a daily commuter or a first time rider, the quality of your trip matters. What makes for a high quality experience? A clean, comfortable ride? A friendly driver? Arriving on time? Feeling safe? All of the above!
You, as a Panorama Professional Driver, are one of the biggest determining factors of a great trip. The small steps you take throughout your day set the tone for success.
- Performing a thorough pre-trip helps prevent issues later on down the road. A small repair at the garage could avoid a roadside fiasco.
- Reviewing your assignment the day before allows you to prepare a route, know the alternatives, and be on time. Clarifying the details with the office gives everyone a chance to catch errors or discuss possible changes that could save you time on the road.
- Taking pride in our vehicles. Keeping the coaches clean and free from damage says more than any words could.
- Introducing yourself to the group reminds them that you are a more than just a driver. A friendly interaction can put your group at ease. Reviewing the safety information gives them confidence in your ability to get them where they are going safely.
- Wearing your seat belt is required by law for good reason – it keeps you in place, helping to prevent involuntary movements made by unexpected jostling.
- Keeping phone use to a minimum. Using a hands-free device greatly reduces distracted driving and makes your customers feel that your attention is completely on the road, demonstrating that they are THE most precious cargo.
What are some other ways that you make safety and service a priority?
